What is Morpheus8, BodyTite, and FaceTite?

Morpheus8 is the most advanced skin tightening treatment on the market and available to Dr. Funk’s patients in Lancaster and surrounding areas.   Morpheus8 uses what is commonly referred to as micro-needling but what sets this device apart is the use of radio-frequency thermal technology delivered subdermally through micropins reaching up to 4mm into the skin.   This micro-puncturing combined with fractional RF heat is FDA cleared to remodel the adipose tissue which can significantly improve the texture of the skin.   The body reacts to this level of deep heat which remodels adipose fat tissue and fine punctures by producing collagen resulting in a smoother more youthful skin texture and appearance.

Morpheus8 can treat the face, neck, and other areas of the body that have wrinkles, laxity, or other texture issues such as acne scarring.   Dr. Funk typically applies a topical numbing cream to the skin 30-60 minutes prior to the procedure to greatly reduce discomfort.   The treatment itself takes 30-75 minutes depending on the areas being treated.  Patients can expect redness for 1-2 days following the procedure and some mild scabbing or bruising.   The longer term benefits will be seen 6-8 weeks out with tighter skin, less visible wrinkles, and smoother texture.
